Tracy Gray has over 20 years experience assisting organizations in a variety of industries reach their goals. Ms. Gray is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of The 22 Capital Group a growth venture capital and advisory firm with a mission of job creation by increasing the export capacity of Southern California manufacturing companies, targeting women- and minority-owned businesses. She is also an Executive in Residence at the LA Cleantech Incubator where she advises portfolio companies and leads initiative to increase diversity and inclusion in the tech sector. Ms. Gray is the founder of the non-profit We Are Enough. Ms. Gray was recently named one of the 50 “Women of Influence” in business in LA. Prior to starting The 22, Ms. Gray was the Senior Advisor of International Business and Marketing for LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Gray was previously Managing Director at the Collaborative Equity Partners (CEP), a venture catalyst consulting firm where she raised over $30 million in equity capital. She was also an investment professional at Zone Ventures, an L.A. based Draper Fisher Jurvetson venture capital firm where her first investment decision, DivX, had a market capitalization of $435M at IPO and was Zone’s only company to go public. She has worked at the LA Alliance for the New Economy, an economic development non-profit and as a systems engineer/mission monitor on the NASA Space Shuttle program. She is currently on the advisory board of Exergy Systems Inc. and the board of directors for Isidore Electronics Recycling. Ms. Gray also serves on several non-profit boards of directors and advisory boards, including LA Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Make it in LA, Cal State Dominguez Hills Philanthropic Foundation, Urban Manufacturing Alliance, ChinaWeek and Southern California Chapter of the National Association of Securities Professionals. Ms. Gray holds a B.S. in Mathematical Science with an aeronautics emphasis from the University of California, Santa Barbara and dual MBAs from Columbia University and University of California, Berkeley specializing in private equity, international business and social impact.
